Fellowship is an important part of the
Christian life at Good Shepherd, and to quote more than one
parishioner,
“We love to eat!”
We all get
together informally at Sunday coffee hours following both
services and at covered dish suppers. Especially
noteworthy are the following: |
|
Supper Clubs provide a
relaxed setting
for getting to know each other in small groups. These
four to five groups are re-organized each fall, some meeting
in homes and some preferring to dine out. The groups
come together each December for a Christmas celebration.
Supper Clubs always welcome newcomers to their tables and are
an ideal introduction to our parish family.

The Feast of St. Francis is celebrated each
year with a good crowd - those of us with our animals to be
blessed and those of us without leashes who just enjoy the
antics, all of us warmed by the service and the potluck
afterwards.

A parish exchange relationship is maintained
with the United Benefice
Churches near Bristol, England. A number of our
parishioners have traveled to Tortworth, Tytherington, and
Cromhall. Visits occur every two years, creating warm
family and church ties. |

The
Fellowship Committee also assists with the Christmas pageant,
Vacation Bible School, and the Easter egg hunt and is always
looking for other activities that bring us together. |
