Leadership

We at Good Shepherd are blessed with the pastoral
leadership of The Reverend Theodore (Ted) Koelln as our rector during this
exciting time of growth in our parish. With the cooperation of Father
Ted’s leadership and our lay ministry, we look to prosper and grow as we
endeavor with God’s help to follow the ministries to which we are called.
The vestry is the governing body of the parish and is comprised of nine
elected members. Three members are elected each year to serve a three-year
term, creating a rotation that allows for continuity of leadership. From
within the vestry, wardens are elected annually. The entire vestry works
closely with the rector, but the Senior Warden and Junior Warden have
special responsibilities in that they are somewhat considered the “top lay
persons” of the parish. The vestry appoints the treasurer and clerk of the
vestry.
The music at Good Shepherd is under the direction of Janet Varner who
brings a wealth of talent to the positions of music director, choir
director, organist, and pianist. We have a dedicated adult choir that
provides an uplifting vocal ministry through a variety of musical
presentations.
